Buenos Aires’ city border with the river Plate is an unexplored opportunity. The liquid barrier of the river will be used as a material to articulate the urban fabric, integrating architectural and urban scales. The immense size and force of the river fuses the city grid with its liquid state to generate a ‘water / city’ field.
This pavilion project investigates social patterns in the city and feeds them into digital systems of parametric design. The result is a pavilion that addresses the connection between the river and the city.
